Project Manager for Turn-Key Services - MA

Our client, a well-known building materials dealer in Vermont and Massachusetts, is growing and needs to hire a dynamic, energetic and organized professional to join their team as a Project Manager for Turn Key Services. The candidate must possess the skills and confidence to professionally interact with design professionals, general contractors, building owners and construction personnel while effectively controlling material and labor usage in agreement with the contract documents. The individual will work thoroughly with the estimating, sales and operations personnel to ensure project budget and schedule are maintained.
-Assess the project plans to comment on the building design, cost saving methods, scheduling and possible construction problems
-Assist estimator in preparing and reviewing the material take-off
-Organize bids from material and labor providers
-Prepare the turn-key proposal package
-Coordinate and manage the RFI process throughout the design and construction of the project
-Expedite all shop drawings and approvals
-Facilitate pre-construction meetings with appropriate customer and vendor personnel
-Regulate the project schedule and take action as needed to ensure work is completed on time
-Attend job site meetings regularly and prepare meeting minutes
-Expedite all change orders
-Ensure monthly invoicing and draws are completed in accordance with the contract including any AIA Requisitions
-Uphold good construction standards and quality control and take corrective action as needed
-Prepare monthly progress updates for the management team
Required Qualifications
-Minimum 5-years experience as a Project Manager on new-building and large scale multi-family construction projects.
-Must be proficient in blueprint reading and material take-offs
-Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and ProCore
